Following on from Germany, in terms of nationalities buying in Spain, comes the United Kingdom and then France. We are pleased to confirm we now have a qualified French mortgage adviser on the team. We had been actively looking for the right person for a while and since joining us a year ago, Vera has managed many of our French enquiries and has successfully completed many mortgages. 

In 2021, 58% of our French buyers bought for holiday use and 29% for their main residence. It’s interesting to see in our data that only 41% of our French clients are resident in France (for tax purposes at least) and there are a good number of French clients, living in the USA, buying in Spain. It’s certainly a market to keep a close eye on.
